This free training is provided through AEquitas (The Prosecutors' Resource on Violence Against Women). The Institute on the Prosecution of Sexual Violence is a two and a half day course designed to provide prosecutors with new ideas and methods for keeping victims safe and holding offenders accountable. Participants will acquire an increased understanding of the many contexts in which sexual violence occurs. The training will feature a highly interactive format which will enable prosecutors from across the state, with varied levels of experience, to learn from one another and engage in "real-life" activities at are readily transferable to their everyday work. Topics could include the following:

Effectively Using Expert Witnesses |
Health, Medical and Forensic Issues |
Addressing Toxicology Issues at Trial |

Conducting an Effective Voir Dire |
There is no cost for attending this two and a half day training. Participants are required to attend the entirety of the training. CLE approval is pending (fee required for CLEs).
